DWG to PDF Converter Pro is a batch converter that allows you to convert DWG to PDF, and DXF to PDF without the need of AutoCAD. The Pro version has command line support additionally.
Pros: DWG to PDF Converter Pro can convert DWG and DXF format drawings into PDF documents in a batch. No AutoCAD copy need be present on the machine. It supports paper space and model space. Drawing files from every version of AutoCAD release can be handled. DWG/DXF files of R2.5/2.6 to R2005/ 2006/ 2007/ 2008/ 2009 formats are supported. Create and format PDF bookmarks in the vector PDF files that are created.
The user interface is very easy to use. Just drag and drop the files you need to convert. You can also drag a complete folder into the work area and ask the application to include all the sub-directories too. Specify the output folder and you are almost ready to start. Last thing you need to do is to specify the output parameters. Output document sizes and associated colors can be specified. SHF and XREF directories that need to be attached to the drawings are specified. Output layout, model space or paper spaces can be defined to be the desired layout. Line width or pen width also can be specified. PDF properties such as author, subject keywords and so on are specified in the PDF options. PDF quality gets defined at the very first set of options. You get to define the document quality and layouts per document etc. You can also specify if all the layouts are to be combined into one document or individual documents are to be created. One can use the default set of options if all these settings become little to complicated for use.
Cons: For setting the parameters for optimal output, you do need familiarity with the domain of DWF and DXF drawings of course but that is to be expected.
Overall this easy to use converter gets a 4 star rating quite easily.
